"What do I do?" asked Splash-eye. "Stay here and let my leg heal." It wasn't a question.

( PEOPLE! You guys went on and made the desision without me! I'm leader, remember! :/)

"Right," Windfoot replied, looking towards Wishpaw. "We'll patrol the border closest to Twolegplace first, and report back if there's anything we find." The last part was mostly directed towards Silentstar. The gray she-cat began heading out of camp with a nod at Silentstar.

( I know, other people did though.. :/)

Silentstar nodded and flicked her tail in good bye.

As Windfoot patrolled the border, she checked carefully in a few bushes, and in any undergrowth she could find. Thankfully, there was nothing so far, but she still had more to look for.

"Wishpaw, could you help look, please? There's a lot of area," she said as she began to head along the border, checking for anything weird. "Look for a silver object, but whatever you do, don't spring it."

Wishpaw followed and nodded. She looked under some bushes, and when she wasn't paying attention her tail brushed along a trap, and the jaws calmped shut on her tail. She yowled in pain.

Princess Annabelle wrote:

" Could you gather some herbs, just in case?" Silentstar said. She was going to tell Sparkpetal later that she was medicine cat.

Sparkpetal shrugged and padded into the bramble, watching for traps.

Wishpaw yowled, tail bleeding.

"Oh no," Windfoot hissed to herself under her breath. "Stay still," she told Wishpaw as she grabbed the nearest stick and rushed back, attempting to pry the trap open. Finally, it was gaping its cruel jaws just enough for Wishpaw to escape. "Now you can get out, but hurry," she said, her teeth clenched.

Wishpaw scrambled out, tail bleeding badly.

"We need to get you back to camp," Windfoot said. "Follow me."

When Wishpaw was coming, she padded towards camp and walked up to Sparkpetal. "Sparkpetal! Wishpaw's tail got caught in a trap. Can you please help us?"

((No, that is not character control because I said "when Wishpaw was coming," not "Wishpaw followed her."))

(( I know. ))

Wishpaw followed behind, moaning. Her tail hurt so bad. " I'm such a mouse-brain!" Wishpaw said, being hard on herself.

Sparkpetal heard a yowl. She dropped the herbs and ran into camp toward Wishpaw. "Are you okay?" she asked, still clamping some cobwebs she forgot to drop.

"No, you didn't know it was there," Windfoot said, almost as sad as Wishpaw. "Everyone makes mistakes. Just calm down and it will hurt less."

When Wishpaw was settled, Windfoot padded up to Silentstar. "We ran into a trap near Twolegplace, and Wishpaw got her tail snapped in it."

Sparkpetal stood by Wishpw.

Wishpaw whimpered, almost like a kit. Her tail kept on bleeding. " Trap.." She said to Sparkpetal.

Silentstar nodded and went out to see Sparkpetal and Wishpaw.

Sparkpetal laid the cobwebs she had onto Wishpaws' tail.

Wishpaw flinched but calmed in a minute. Wishpaw whimpered again.

Silentstar looked at Wishpaw, sadly. " Sparkpetal.. I suppose now would be the time to tell you."

"Do you need me to finish the patrol?" Windfoot asked. "I'm sure the answer is yes, but I'm just making sure..."

Silentstar nodded. " If you wuld."

"All right," the gray warrior replied, dashing out of camp. She headed back towards the trap, nudging the stick a bit so that it sprung further. "That one's done." She proceeded to check the other areas.

Scenting the air for anything metallic, she headed towards a particular source. It was right on the border, and she didn't want to get in trouble with other Clans. Carefully, she slid a twig into the jaws of the vile thing, and it snapped like a badger on prey. Shrugging, she resumed.

Sparkpetal finished the cobwebs and glanced at Silentstar. "Yes?" She asked.

" Your the medicine cat." Silentstar said.

Wishpaw sighed as the bleeding stopped.

Sparkpetal looked up and smiled, stunned. "T-Thank you!" She said.
