Rosepetal cocked her head in concern. "Are you alright, Silentstar?" She asked. "I mean, you kinda seem out of it today."

Silentstar shook her head. " I'm fine.."

Rosepetal nodded and looked away. "I see." She mewed. "Well would you like to go hunting with me? It's a habit I have after every time I eat." She offered to her leader.

((I mean this:
"Silentstar said, looking dreamy. She was thinking of Leopardshadow."
You have no reason to like him yet. He just tried to attack us!))

Windfoot attempted to leap to the side, but she had her rear paws hit. "That's good. Now try something a bit different. See if you can never do the same thing twice in one battle. Be creative."

( Silentstar wasn't there.. I was gone.. She just looked at him and felt no fear, thats why.. I dunno!)

Wishpaw nodded, eager to keep going. She leap over Windfoot, trying to spin and hit her back.

Silentstar nodded. " Sure! We need more prey." She said, looking to the fresh-kill pile.

Rosepetal smiled and padded out into the forest. She parted open her jaws in search for prey.

Silentstar followed, scenting the air.

Rosepetal dropped into a hunters crouch behind a bush. SHe had her eyes locked on a plump thrush. Slowly and carefully, she stalked closer to it. With a successful swipe of her paw, the bird was limp.

Silentstar grinned. " Nice." She mouthed, as she had spotted a plump mouse. She crept forward and pounced, she missed it by an inch but she swiped just as it was scrambling away.. She grinned as it went limp.

Windfoot dashed forward, getting her flanks hit. The apprentice had hardly given her time to react.

"Nice," she said, shaking herself off. "But be careful and do that quickly, because the enemy might leap up and knock the air out of you. It's my turn now. Let's see your defensive tactics."

She rushed at Wishpaw head-on, but then leaped to the right and tried to batter the apprentice's side with her paws.

"Good catch." Rosepetal purred.

Silentstar grinned. " Thanks.." She said.

Wishpaw smiled. " I'll remember." She promised.
She saw Windfoot rush and jump to the side. She spun out of the way, landing a rabbit length away from where she was before.

"I just learned something," Windfoot laughed. "Always try to attack quickly with the first move, then move on to the second technique."

After getting serious for a moment, she added, "Let's try this." Again, she raced towards her apprentice, and stopped just in front of her, ducking, then jumping back and racing forward again, bringing her paw down on Wishpaw's shoulder.

Wishpaw didn't have enough time to react.. She she stumbled but kept her footing.

"Be sure to always be ready for your opponent's attack," Windfoot instructed, crouching slightly. "Your turn again."

Wishpaw nodded. She rushed at Windfoot, and leaped high over her head. She landed on the other side, and pushed Windfoot from the back.

Windfoot attempted jumped up, and attempted to get her apprentice from below, but Wishpaw was too high, and she fell over on her face.

Standing up and shaking herself off, she said, "Perfect. Now remember, in real battle, you can have unsheathed claws, so there are many more possibilities."

As she looked up, she saw it had gotten much later. "All right, let's head back to camp. That's a lot of progress made," she added, nodding towards Wishpaw.

Wishpaw nodded. " Okay."

Sparkpetal sighed. She was bored out of her mind.

Rosepetal turned around slowly, her jaws parted open slightly. "Do you smell that?" She whispered.

Silentstar sniffed the air.. " Yes.." There was a strange smell in the air.

Rosepetal turned swiftly around a bush and froze. A large metal trap was sitting infront of her. "Don't come any closer." She warned her leader.

Silentstar nodded, and looked at the trap, frozen.

Slowly, Rosepetal crept up to the trap. She stopped before she nosed it, and thought better. Grabbing a stick in her mouth, she threw it ontop of the trap. It snapped instantly with a loud CRACK.

Silentstar padded up. " There will be more." She said grimly.
